Students from G7 to G9 have spent unforgettable days in La Cerdanya.
From 2 to 5 April, our Secondary students have found an ideal excuse to enjoy a unique place and full of surprises: to develop the Synthesis Credit, based on the beautiful region of La Cerdanya.
On April 2, just leaving, we already had an activity that allowed us to put into practice not only our individual abilities but also those about teamwork: Kayak and rafting in the Parc del Segre at La Seu d ‘ Urgell … after finishing this activity, we were already going around the Cathedral, also in groups, to find out and solve the different tests with the help of the iPad and a good orientation.
Arrived at the Hotel of La Collada de Toses we had a moment of rest but already after dinner, we went on with the games at night. On the second day, we woke up under a thin white layer …It had snowed! How can the landscape change in only a few minutes…
We had a good breakfast, we were well-dressed and we went out for the adventure by snowshoeing … snowballs … peaceful wars … how nice! We also learned the basic guidelines for guidance not only with technological elements such as ARVA and GPS but also knowing how to read what nature tells us: the north face indicated by the moss and humidity, the position of the Sun, the stars…
On the third day, the visit to Puigcerdà was also very enriching as it gave us a historical perspective and could better understand the evolution of the region with regard to the different sectors: primary, secondary and tertiary; the tourism, the activities of summer, the activities of winter; the distribution of the population according to age ranges, occupations, etc.
We also made a small leap in France bathing in the hot springs of Dorres … incredible! outdoors, almost below zero … and we are well relaxed and warm in those terms of the time of the Romans …unbelievable! Finally, and to finish knowing all those muscles and tendons of our body that we did not know, we burned the last energy left in the Adventure Park of La Molina: tirolines, jumps almost empty, networks that trembled, bridges…
Oh! We forgot to say that we also completed the individual and collective activities of the Synthesis Credit … so it’s worth learning! We want to thank the support and patience that our professors have had with us these days.
To Miss Roca, Miss Dixon, Miss Marín and Mr. Raleigh and to the monitoring of Club Elements … thanks to YOU all!
