On Friday, May 31, Baccalaureate students of Gresol International-American School celebrated the Graduation Ceremony.
It was an event with magical and unexpected moments and full of emotion …
Following the program, the ceremony was opened by Miss Vanessa Fernández del Viso, Deputy Head and Baccalaureate Coordinator, recalling with her words some lessons, more than one trip and encouraging them to visit us from time to time.
Mrs. Marta Santandreu and Mr. Joan Turull were the representatives of the parents and their words were very emotional, thinking of ‘a whole life’ in Gresol and in funny situations of their children.
One of the surprises was the intervention of Gresol Choir interpreting ‘Imagine’. Amazing!
Another one of the surprises was the talk by Miss Maribel Arranz and Miss Rosa Argemí, professors who had been tutors of these students in the stages of Kindergarten and Primary. Their words, together with the photographs of those ages shown in a nice presentation, made us some tears, but above all, they left us with a nostalgic and beautiful smile.
The ceremony continued giving them de Diplomas by the members of the presidential board.
Next, Dr. Albert Estrada, guest of honor at this ceremony, ex-student of Gresol and Honorary Vice-consul of Slovenia, talked about the added value that our students have because of the linguistic possibilities and international skills thanks to our educational project.
To conclude, the Headmaster of GIAS, Mr. Ignasi Bau reminded them of the importance of sacrifice, effort, and perseverance but, above all, the enthusiasm and passion for everything we do in life.
A tasty ‘pica-pica’ in the dining hall allowed us to be able to talk and do a series of photos, ending with a toast with the cake commemorating the graduation ceremony of the students of 2019.
Thanks for the participation not only of the great protagonists, the graduate students, but also of the moms, dads, relatives and friends who joined the event and congratulating the invaluable participation of Miss Caño and Miss Dixon as drivers of the event and our musicians Glòria Casanova, Júlia Pérez, Celestino Picazo and Mercè Pérez (also director of Gresol Choir).
Thanks to all and the most beloved congratulations to the new graduates!
