With the academic year coming to an end, it is time to celebrate that the holidays are approaching, and a stage is over for some classes. Kindergarten, G6, or Baccalaureate students leave their phase behind to face a change, entering primary, secondary, or University. Important changes in their learning and training. Without forgetting those students that are going to say goodbye to us, some of them after spending most of their school life in Gresol.
During the past academic year, due to the pandemic, no graduation ceremony could be held. For Gresol, it is a very important day because we understand that it is a special moment for the students and mothers, and fathers. For this reason, this year, keeping all the safety and hygiene protocols, Gresol has done everything possible to enjoy those events.
Emotional farewell to high school
The high school students were the first to have their ceremony. It was an emotional act of farewell with surprises, such as the online participation of Mr. William Naugle, offering a motivational speech towards the students and the new stage they are facing. Various members of the Gresol team, such as Ms. Sonia Tudela or Ms. Maribel Marín, had beautiful words of farewell, but also of motivation and gratitude, since learning, in the end, is mutual.
On behalf of the Gresol School team and the different teachers at the center who had them as students, they were proud of the growth that every one of them had shown. The young students have worked hard for this moment, and now it is their turn to face a new and exciting stage to keep growing and advancing to become the best people possible.
The Penguins graduate!
The Penguins class, Kindergarten, also had a fun graduation and farewell ceremony. Next year they will have to move to primary school to develop more skills exploring the world around them through creativity, the arts, or emotional and physical development. During the ceremony, the coordinator Ms. Amy Lehman and teachers like Ms. Petra Stehle also wanted to dedicate some beautiful words to their students and encourage them to continue working with that smile and joy that characterizes this class.
G6 and G10, a new leap
Both classes also had their respective graduations, both full of joy and emotion for the step they have to take. G6 students leave primary school to face secondary school, a step further in the formative development of their skills and the moment to finish perfecting many of the tools and learning taught in the previous stage. They enjoyed a pleasant evening with their families, collected their diplomas, and had time to make a beautiful musical demonstration for those who were present.
And, if we talk about changes, we cannot ignore G10 since it has to go from secondary school to high school. A noticeable step further, where important decisions for the professional future begin to be made. The baccalaureate is an academic period that prepares students in multiple ways and multiple fields, not only at the educational level but also in more professional areas. The G10 students know this well, who have had exemplary behavior and high-level training to face this new stage with complete safety.
Every year it is the turn for new graduations, changes, and goodbyes. At Gresol International-American School, we are deeply proud when we see our students learn, grow, train, and enjoy themselves along the way. We are proud to see how they become great people and professionals with a relevant role in our society. In short, confident citizens, informed, empathetic and respectful.
